The Sky of Sea
I'm dreaming of a sky of sea. Again. I'm always dreaming about one thing or another. Well that's what most people like to think, I'm quirky, my head is always in books, and I'm imagining the unimaginable. But I guess life is like that, not everyone is going to fit in with that crowd. My name is Rachael. Pretty normal, right? But my life is anything but normal! The things in life I have seen, dreamt, imagined. Life is full of mysteries, mysteries that people like to solve, and they find challenges in mysteries! Well, for me, challenges are, why is life the way it is, why is my own life the way it is? How would it feel to die? Would you float on nothingness? Would you join life as somebody else? Mysteries that will never be solved.
As a dreamer, I tend to think that I see things differently to others, like, am I seeing things the way everyone else does, like colours? More challenges in life! Dreaming is like flying, through a wave of inspiration; new things, old things, happy or sad. What would life be without imagination and dreams? It would be ordinary and dull, where everyone is the same, no possibilities, no chances, no change. I guess my life is anything but ordinary, but I like that.
You know, I'm quite unlike everyone else, I change for the better good, I might not be very pretty but change happens, my change is natural, not like the pink lips of someone who has changed to fit in with the disease; popularity. It strikes and people change, unnaturally. I knew a girl once, she was beautiful, natural. And then popularity snatched her up. She became slutty and dressed up all the time, she wore makeup non-stop and wouldn't hang out with idiots like Rachael. I have some friends who, like me are immune to the disease, but they aren't like me in the way of dreaming, their dreams are about boys or family. My dreams soar beyond the horizon of ordinary and come to a place where the impossible happen.
When change comes, I shall welcome it. Others may fear it, or even struggle against it. My arms are open, imagination.
